I have a new monitor; do I need to calibrate it?
Every monitor needs and is worth calibrating.
No monitor comes out of the factory calibrated because... it's not possible.
Monitor calibration is really about calibrating your entire workstation. It involves aligning the lighting, user preferences, and expectations to ensure that the image on the monitor matches all these criteria. Ultimately, the goal is for the prints to match what you see on the monitor.
However, it's important to understand that the print shouldn't be made to look like the image on the monitor... the monitor should allow you to simulate the print.
This is where we step into the topic of color management. You already know that you need monitor calibration. Reach out to Adam Jędrysik from Vitavision; he can help you with this and ensure you have a smooth workflow with your photos.
